How NetGrappler Works

• The NetGrappler is secured to the surface vessel’s winch system.
• The winch operator lowers the NetGrappler to the target depth.
• The ROV guides the NetGrappler precisely above the target cargo, providing real-time visual confirmation through HD cameras.
• The operator positions the NetGrappler directly over the cargo item, with the ROV providing lateral positioning assistance.
• Once properly positioned, the motorised drawstring system at the lower perimeter of the NetGrappler is activated, constricting the opening and securing the cargo within the containment area.
• The ROV confirms complete cargo capture through visual inspection of the cinched NetGrappler closure.
• After securing the cargo, the winch system operator initiates controlled retrieval to surface.
• For heavier items approaching capacity limits, integrated connection points allow attachment of supplementary lift bags, enhancing buoyancy and reducing strain on the winch system.

Tool for Stuck Loads
There is another product for snagged or stuck loads that allows to gently shake and gradually free the load onto the seabed surface where the NetGrappler can take over and complete the recovery. Please contact us for detailed information.
